Les Williams - Youth Minister

Les
Les was born and raised in Dickinson, Texas.  He grew up going to church and playing every sport possible.  At a lock-in during his freshman year of high school, God changed his life forever as all the Bible stories he heard growing up as well as the scripture he memorized all came together and made sense.  It was at that moment when Les realized he was a sinner and in great need of a Savior.  After the lock-in, Les became very involved in the youth ministry of FBC Dickinson.

During the summer of 1999, Les first felt called to ministry, and the following year he surrendered to the ministry.  Les graduated from the University of Mary Harden Baylor in 2006 with a degree in Biblical Studies.  During his senior year he went on his first date with Nicole, and a year and a half later the two were married on August 24, 2007.  Les and Nicole have two dogs, enjoy running and are currently in the middle of adopting their first child.

Michelle Pannell - Children's Day Out Director

Michelle
Michelle has an intense love of young children and has worked with them for more than 10 years.  She has experience in several preschool programs where she taught ages 2-5.  She also has substituted in the Grandview ISD for 5 years, where she discovered that Pre-K was her favorite grade to work.

In the fall of 2007, Michelle helped to start our Children's Day Out program.  With a goal of only 30 enrolled children that first year, she was extremely surprised to end up with 44 children and a waiting list!  In February of 2008, Michelle was instrumental in beginning our Wiggle Worms children's service, which is geared towards children ages 5 - 2nd grade. Wiggle Worms meet during church on Sundays and offers kids a chance to worship in their own way through music, games, and Bible stories.

Michelle and her husband, Bill, are parents of Jacob, Benjamin, Claire, and Anna Faith. She enjoys reading, cooking, and visiting with family and friends.

For a number of years Dorothy has worked with children and learned to love them dearly.  Besides working with special need students, she also coached Special Olympics while in Arlington.  Most recently she taught as a substitute here in Grandview.

Credit has been given to Dorothy's paternal grandmother for leading her to Christ at a young age.  Needless to say Grandma has always been her hero!

Ryan Hurt - Contemporary Worship Leader

Ryan

Raised in Grandview, Ryan spent his earlier years of youth counting down the days till he could get out of what he referred to as "this one horse town!"  After years of going down some really rough roads, Ryan finally realized how it was only through God's grace that he is able to do the very thing he has come to love so much . . . music . . . and not only just music but music for His Kingdom.  He is truly aware of being daily blessed beyond measure through this opportunity and through this church.

For several years Ryan played in country music bands on the road.  However around 2004 he fell in love with Christ in a way that changed his life forever.  He gladly accepted the task of transferring the focus of his musical talents from country bands to contemporary worship.  Ryan's willingness to continue on this path has been handed over to God and His plan for the future.

Ryan has been married for six years to the wife of his dreams -- Melissa.  They have recently moved back to Grandview with their four children, two boys and two girls.
