Airemy Caudle - Children's Day Out Director

Airemy
I was born and raised in Irving, Texas, where I met my husband over 20 years ago.  We have grown up together and have been very happily married for 13 years.  We have two children.  Nash is starting first grade here in Grandview, and our 3 year old Marlee will be attending CDO.

I graduated from Ursuline Academy in Dallas in 1993.  I attended University of Dallas in Irving with full intentions of becoming a child psychologist. After one semester I was unhappy and went looking for a better fit.  My uncle was the Dean of the Education Department and talked me into taking a few classes.  I found my home!  I taught 5th grade in Hurst-Euless-Bedford for 4 years.  During that time I received my Master in Education Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington.  I was assistant principal at an extremely large elementary school in Arlington ISD.  I returned to UTA and earned my superintendant certification in 2004.  In 2005 I was named Principal of Hillsboro Intermediate School, where I worked for 4 years.  Last year my oldest was starting kindergarten and I did not want to miss one minute, so I decided to stay home with Marlee and became the PTO president at the elementary and intermediate schools here in Grandview.  I feel I have been offered a wonderful gift this year in being asked to serve as CDO director.  I have made so many new friends here this past year, and I feel this is where my family and I truly belong!

Dorothy Brusaw - Children's Director

Dorothy

Dorothy was born and lived the first eight years of her life in California.  She moved to Arlington, Texas in 1968, married her husband, Bob, in 1994, and moved to the Grandview area in 2001.  Dorothy and Bob have six grown children and seven grandchildren thus far.

For a number of years Dorothy has worked with children and learned to love them dearly.  Besides working with special need students, she also coached Special Olympics while in Arlington.  Most recently she taught as a substitute here in Grandview.

Credit has been given to Dorothy's paternal grandmother for leading her to Christ at a young age.  Needless to say Grandma has always been her hero!

Dorothy enjoys reading, cooking and grandchildren.

Ryan Hurt - Contemporary Worship Leader

Ryan

Raised in Grandview, Ryan spent his earlier years of youth counting down the days till he could get out of what he referred to as "this one horse town!"  After years of going down some really rough roads, Ryan finally realized how it was only through God's grace that he is able to do the very thing he has come to love so much . . . music . . . and not only just music but music for His Kingdom.  He is truly aware of being daily blessed beyond measure through this opportunity and through this church.

For several years Ryan played in country music bands on the road.  However around 2004 he fell in love with Christ in a way that changed his life forever.  He gladly accepted the task of transferring the focus of his musical talents from country bands to contemporary worship.  Ryan's willingness to continue on this path has been handed over to God and His plan for the future.

Ryan has been married for six years to the wife of his dreams -- Melissa.  They have recently moved back to Grandview with their four children, two boys and two girls.

Sharon Brock - Church Secretary

  Sharon
Having grown up on the west side of Fort Worth, coming to Grandview in 1982 was a major change for Sharon and her family.  She came on staff in June, 1991. Today she not only considers Grandview her home but the FBC members as part of her extended family.  Sharon is very active in the ministry of her church, United Presbyterian of Cleburne.  Family is an important aspect of her life as well.  She and husband Tom are parents of three grown children -- Benjamin (& wife Melissa), Katherine (& husband Dustin) and Laura.  Sharon's favorite past-time is being a grandma to twins Brianna and Kyla and little sister Taylor plus the newest addition to the family, grandson Logan.
