Daniel Hancock - Youth Minister
|
|
I was born in Dallas and I fell in love with God in high school and
served an intern at FBC Sunnyvale. I worked for Raytheon after
I graduated from high school, in 2004 I joined the staff of FBC
Grandview as youth minister and I have loved every minute of it.
I am married to Erica, we met in freshman sign language class at
Mesquite High School and have been together every since. We
have two beautiful boys Jacob and Brandt and a cool Chihuahua named
Sarah. My heart is led towards the Word of God preaching and
teaching truth to the hearts and minds of not only teenagers but
adults as well. God has truly worked in and around the youth
ministry at FBC and I pray He will continue to use me and my
family for many years in being a part of His Kingdom. gvfbcyouth@windstream.net |

Michelle Pannell - Children's Day Out Director
"Part-time Staff with a Full-Time Ministry"
|
|
Michelle has an intense love of young children and has worked with
them for more than 10 years. She has experience in several
preschool programs where she taught ages 2-5. She also has
substituted in the Grandview ISD for 5 years, where she discovered
that Pre-K was her favorite grade to work. In the fall of 2007, Michelle helped to start our Children's Day Out program. With a goal of only 30 enrolled children that first year, she was extremely surprised to end up with 44 children and a waiting list! In February of 2008, Michelle was instrumental in beginning our Wiggle Worms children's service, which is geared towards children ages 5 - 2nd grade. Wiggle Worms meet during church on Sundays and offers kids a chance to worship in their own way through music, games, and Bible stories. Michelle and her husband, Bill, are parents of Jacob, Benjamin, and Claire. She enjoys reading, cooking, and visiting with family and friends. gvfbcchildren@gmail.com |

Dorothy was born and lived the first eight years of her life in
California. She moved to Arlington, Texas in 1968, married her
husband, Bob, in 1994, and moved to the Grandview area in 2001.
Dorothy and Bob have six grown children and seven grandchildren thus
far. For a number of years Dorothy has worked with children and learned to love them dearly. Besides working with special need students, she also coached Special Olympics while in Arlington. Most recently she taught as a substitute here in Grandview. Credit has been given to Dorothy's paternal grandmother for leading her to Christ at a young age. Needless to say Grandma has always been her hero! Dorothy enjoys reading, cooking and grandchildren. childrendirector@gvfbc.org |
Ryan Hurt - Contemporary Worship Leader
![]() |
Raised in Grandview, Ryan spent his earlier years of
youth counting down the days till he could get out of what he referred to as "this one
horse town!" After years of going down some really rough
roads, Ryan finally realized how it was only through God's grace
that he
is able to do the very thing he has come to love so much . . . music
. . . and not only just music but music for His Kingdom. He is
truly aware of being daily blessed beyond measure through this
opportunity and through this church. For several years Ryan played in country music bands on the road. However around 2004 he fell in love with Christ in a way that changed his life forever. He gladly accepted the task of transferring the focus of his musical talents from country bands to contemporary worship. Ryan's willingness to continue on this path has been handed over to God and His plan for the future. Ryan has been married for six years to the wife of his dreams -- Melissa. They have recently moved back to Grandview with their four children, two boys and two girls. Psalms 89:1 ryan@gvfbc.org |

Having grown up on the west side of Fort Worth,
coming to Grandview in 1982 was a major change for Sharon and her
